California Hydrogen Coalition Calls on Immediate Adoption of Updated Low Carbon Fuel Standard
SACRAMENTO – Teresa Cooke, executive director of the California Hydrogen Coalition, released the following statement after the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) Office of Administrative Law ruled to disapprove the amended Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS), which expands credits for hydrogen powered transportation, due to nonsubstantive, technical issues:
“The California Hydrogen Coalition strongly supports the updated Low Carbon Fuel Standard adopted late last year, which is a key lynchpin for the development of hydrogen fueling infrastructure. We expect CARB to quickly resolve this with the Office of Administrative Law as part of the regulatory review process.
“Too much is at stake for our state’s clean energy future – we cannot afford additional delays that compromise the future of these critically important programs that support the transition to clean and affordable energy for Californians.”
