California Hydrogen Coalition Commends Updates to Low Carbon Fuel Standard

SACRAMENTO – Teresa Cooke, executive director of the California Hydrogen Coalition, released the following statement after the California Air Resources Board (CARB) approved updates to the state’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) that expand credits for hydrogen powered transportation:

“The California Hydrogen Coalition commends CARB for updating the LCFS to put California in a position to achieve our clean energy future. Drawing private capital to build more stations and lowering the cost of fuel at the pump are much needed steps to expand hydrogen powered transportation as an option for Californians. We're eager to continue working with the Newsom Administration, CARB, and the Legislature on additional policies that expand the fast-growing hydrogen industry."

About the California Hydrogen Coalition:

The California Hydrogen Coalition is dedicated to enabling California’s transition to zero emission vehicles by expanding the availability of reliable, convenient and affordable hydrogen fueling.
